My Story
I am a playwright, an author and a teacher. I was born in Atlanta Ga. but raised in a small town nearby. Reading has always been a joy, but I never thought I would become a writer. I love writing but it’s not my passion.
My passion is tutoring struggling kids to read with confidence. I feel that I have the magic (so to speak) to open doors and make a difference. I have the tips, tricks, and the fun to make a kid be amazed at themselves.
In my third-grade experience, I struggled with math because my teacher, Mrs. Rice, couldn’t effectively communicate the concepts. This challenge highlighted the importance of recognizing that not all students learn the same way, inspiring me to develop a teaching philosophy focused on understanding and addressing individual learning needs.
Being a teacher, you need to know that all kids do not learn the same, so, with that being said we teachers need to carry more than one teaching tool in our pocket. let’s connect and explore how we can make a collective impact on students’ lives. Putting a smile on my students’ faces because they can read now…is what makes my day.
